Hi, I'm Anya Aven!

I could not be happier passing down my love for learning piano to others. I teach kids of all ages from beginner to advanced students. My youngest student was 3 years old and my oldest was 70. I believe everyone is capable of learning at any age or skill.

The first step for every class is to pick your brain and find out what you LOVE! It is important to be passionate as you will find yourself wanting to practice. Practicing should not be a chore. I strive to teach this mentality to all my students.

My philosophy is to break the standard teaching style. Every student is unique and special and should be learning that way. Each piece will be curated especially for you and what you like.

No more standard method books that force you to play the exact same pieces everyone else plays.

Each piece will be chosen based on your style of playing and to advance your playing skills. Don’t know your style? Don’t worry! We will explore and find out together what you love.

I teach classical, pop, 20th century, ragtime, movie music, etc. With some hard work, dedication, and passion, Any song is achievable!
